Cystitis.

Your Health is Our Goal

Cystitis:  inflammation of the bladder.  Most of the time, cystitis happens when there’s an infection caused by bacteria. This is called a urinary tract infection (UTI)

Surgical treatment of interstitial cystitis includes the removal of ulcers in the bladder and the removal (and replacement) of part of the bladder.  Most people with cystitis will not get a kidney infection, but occasionally the bacteria can travel up from the bladder into one or both kidneys.
